Noah Freeman Hecht is a 22-year-old filmmaker from Encinitas, California. Recently graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a degree in Film & Media Studies, he has been working behind the camera since early high school. Inspired by the frames of cinematographers like James Laxton and Hoyte van Hoytema, Noah brings a cultivated and sensitive aesthetic to his work.
His background in documentary and narrative filmmaking inform the style with which he approaches wedding videography — committed to capturing the moment, but honoring it in a way that is artistically-deserving.
His creative work has been recognized in film festivals around the nation from San Diego to Miami. In 2019 Noah was named a National YoungArts Finalist in Cinematic Arts, an award given only to the eight best teenage filmmakers in the nation, and in 2023 he was named a Sundance Ignite X YoungArts Fellow. Additionally, he has co-directed two short documentaries made in collaboration with IMAX’s young filmmaker program In Focus
Whether it’s behind the camera, in the editing booth, or in front of a wedding crowd, Noah strives for excellence in whatever it is he pursues. He has been filming weddings for more than a year and is eager to exceed your expectations for what a wedding video could and should be.
